Why Gays Should be Allowed to Marry!

Because they love! They love just like any heterosexual couple loves. In some cases they love more.
AND because they have the excuse to NOT commit to marriage yet still desperately desire the RIGHT too commit to marriage!
How many straight men can you say the same thing about? Honestly?
But let’s say you are a married couple who opposes gay marriage, for whatever reason, but most likely it is religious. Let me ask you this: If a gay couple down the street marries is that really going to effect the quality of YOUR marriage? Is it? Think about this deeply. Is it? Is God going to see your union as LESS THEN?
If you believe that it will diminish the value of your own marriage then you possibly may be limiting your scope of both Jesus and God.
If you are a Christian you will know that Jesus loves everyone and that the trinity respects and loves all people. I was raised Christian and Lord knows that I have been far from exemplary.. but the little bit I learned in my Episcopalian upbringing is that it is not our place to judge or decide. In essence I am saying worry about the cleanliness of your own house before you decide who else deserves to live in a house.

I'd say you are right on target. I live in San Francisco and I was happily married. The fact that some gay folks love each other did not harm my marriage one bit. I wish more people out in the heartland knew how many gay people there are – probably right in their community, then they wouldn't be so afraid of them

i think gay people should know what their doing before they walk down the aisle. On survey, only 5 couples out of 150 stayed together for 5 years.. and all the rest had more then 1 thousand sex couples while they were with their partner. Is that what you want marriage to become? they dont give a shit about it.. they just want the name.
What!? Sorry women but I don't understand what your trying to say. Could you be a little clearer please? If these 'facts' are true i'd like some evidence because from my experience homosexual relationships last just as long as heterosuxaul ones. Did you know that more than half of marriages end in divorce and as queers have to fight so hard, and get through so much discrimination, I think they're probably more likely to stay together. By the way queers do not have higher sex drives and are not more likely to cheat so I don't know where you got your facts from.

i agree, why would anyone in there right mind think that just because a gay couple getting married is going to hurt their marriage. If they think that it will then they are in crappy relationship anyways, to worried about what everyone else is doing and not what their partner is doing. I love gay people i hate straight people they are too narrow minded. I would much rather go to a gay bar and see a drag show than go to a straight bar. I get complements when i go to MY gay bar but when a group of us go out to a striaght bar i have girls talking crap about my hight and size! If a gay couple wants to marry let them do it! the divorce rate is outragous! and gay couples may not be able to reproduce but they could adopt and get alot of the kids that their "striaght" couples didn't want out of the hell hole that they are in and into a family that would love them and care for them like they were their own.

1. Love and sex has nothing to do with the definition of marriage.
2. "The argument of gays being allowed to marry "because they love (each other)" has as procon.org puts it for the argument "slippery slope” ending with giving people in polygamous, incestuous, bestial, and other nontraditional relationships the right to marry." Basically if love is the standard, then polyogmy, incest, and bestiality should be allowed according to that argument.
Basically, I agree that homosexuals shouldn't be bullied like I believe any other human being bullied, but honestly to argue that they should be allowed to marry because they love each other is flawed.
Even though I don't fully agree with same sex marriage because of my religion, they still have the right to get married because marriage is a commitment between two people that LOVE and respect each other, and they should be allowed this right because they are just a human as any other straight person they are no 'dog' or 'inanimate object'!…

.. but you are like me a 'Christian' and your beliefs go against gay marriage just remember this verse from the bible "Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?" because even judging is a sin, stated in the bible (Romans 2:1-3)

to be honest m8 polyogmy is usually allwed by both partners so that dont affect their love sum1 will just be left out the marriage, incest to me is fine whats so wrong about it? ye if they have kids they will most likely b deformed but hey we all came from adam an eve (at least thats what religion said, marriage is religious) i dont support em havin kids but if u wanna marry ur brother or sista thats fine. bestiality is kinda diffrent, i dont think theres any research but im pretty sure u cant fall in love with an animal. I have nothing against homosexual but same sex marriage is no longer moral.
i personally dont fully agree with same sex marriages because i am christian, but i do not have a problem with it, if they wanna be married it is their decision who are we to influence them..they should have the same rights everyone else does
