Tomboys in Fishnets performed at Comedy Central Stage in 2003!

But it didn’t come easy.  After numerous faxes, e-mails and phone calls to Comedy Central’s  L.A. offices… to no avail… Tomboys were finally invited to perform  at Comedy Central Stage after someone from Associated Television called the NY office to recommend us.  On December 10th, 2003 we were allowed to step on to that “magical” stage for an encore performance of “The Shoe Show.”  The weeks of excitement that led up to that night culminated in a grand feeling of “meh.”   We were also told by an L.A. executive that we were, with no uncertain terms, “not right for their network.”

On a happier note… we had a fan there that night who took 3 buses… with a dirty stuffed monkey in tote…  just so he could see the show.  What more can you ask ?
