NY Undergound Comedy Festival 2005

Tomboys in Fishnets were welcomed as featured performers in The NEW YORK UNDERGROUND COMEDY FESTIVAL 2005. It was a blast! We performed to hundreds of New Yorkers who welcomed us with a barrage of laughter and applause. WE LOVE NEW YORK!

The New York Underground Comedy Festival, 2005 — In the fall of 2005 Tomboys in Fishnets were invited to perform at the NY Underground comedy Festival in NYC. Desiring for years to perform in NY this was massively exciting for the troupe. “L.A.’s Hottest sketch comedy troupe storms NYC” graced the front page of the Festival’s site. We prepped like mad and were driven by excitement. When we finally arrived at the theatre with just 2 hours for tech… we discovered that our minidisk player (for our 40+ sound cues) was broken. Nothing that a mother and father couldn’t fix. Magoun’s Mom and Dad, who drove to NY from Ohio for the show, quickly ran to search Manhattan for a replacement. They returned with a new minidisk player 15 minutes before show time. So on October 7th we finally performed “Caught in Red Tape” for a very welcoming and exuberant NYC audience. In spite of all the stress… we had the time of our lives!
